Electrical Engineer EMEA - Material Handling

In this post, you will be responsible for engineering the control systems for equipment for customers in a variety of industries, ranging from logistics and material handling to consumer product packaging lines.

What do you want to do?

• You will be part of a team that works closely with project management to determine their needs and then designs, engineer, test, commission, train, and supports conveyance and sortation solutions;
• (Occasional) travel will be required with some project/troubleshoot work taking place outside of regular working hours;
• Engineer conveyor line control systems that include PLCs, HMI, encoders and pneumatics components;
• Configure HMIs, computers, networks, cameras, and variable frequency drives which are used to control sorters, conveyors, and other related equipment;
• Perform tests and simulations on PLC software and hardware;
• Verify wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and control system components;
• Provide support for technical documentation packages and descriptions of operations of conveyor systems;
• Assist with project commissioning and troubleshooting of field installations.

Some international travel will be required in this position.

We are looking for the following background:

• Qualified in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 2 years related experience;
• Good background/knowledge with Rockwell Studio 5000 and Codesys;
• Familiar with Fieldbuses and communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP and Profinet;
• Good project management skills and teamwork mindset;
• Good understanding of European safety standards and regulations (ie CE);
• Proficient in the English language - other languages ​​would be a plus;
• Willing to travel also outside of Europe if required.
