R&D Chemist in Heerlen - Temporary for 12 months.

In this role, you will be involved in all stages of product development, from formulating and analyzing prototypes in the laboratory to scaling up production in collaboration with Engineering and Supply Chain. You will also provide support to the agronomy team by delivering newly developed prototypes and formulations.

As a member of the R&D team in Heerlen, you will report to one of the R&D managers.

• Design and conduct experiments for various controlled release fertilizer projects;
• Analyze materials and prototypes for composition and release performance;
• Support field trials, both in-house and with third-party collaborators;
• Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain to scale up different processes and assist in scaling up experiments to full production scale.

• MSc/BSc (HLO or HTS) degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Sciences;
• Prior experience in coating technology;
• A strong interest in fertilizers;
• Detail-oriented, critical thinker, independent worker, team player, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

This is a temporary position for 12 months and offers a salary of €3700,- gross a month based on a 40 hour workweek.

You will work on an external contract via our organization.
